1950s SICA Vintage Italian Ceramic Bowl Planter manner of Aldo Londi Bitossi
A large ceramic bowl produced by SICA c. 1950s italy. Featuring lime green and yellow freeform glazes over a raw ceramic finish with the interior glazed orange. A fun ceramic piece useful as a planter, catch all, or storage. Similar in styling to Aldo Londi, Bitossi and Ettore Sottsass. Very few of these SICA pieces surface.
SICA - Societa Italiana Ceramica Artistica, was founded in Nove, Vicenza in 1946 and was active under that name until 1969.
Marked.
Dimensions: 10” Diameter 4.25” Height
Condition: Good vintage condition. Several fleabites to the outer ceramic and organic matter staining to the inside of bowl.
