Capturing the wild unapologetic spirit of nature when it’s fully alive. Letting yourself play even when it’s hard. It’s a reminder to embrace the present moment, to flourish exactly where you are. This is a painting about joy and about living boldly - in full bloom. A direct reflection of how I felt painting it.

Kessy Heath, a Virginia Beach native, resides in Sandbridge with her husband, and two teenage sons, their beloved cat, Tux and newest addition, a dog named Bear. After her youngest sons traumatic illness and subsequent miracle, Kessy found abstract painting as a way to heal. She strives to capture glimpses of the transcendent, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and perhaps find their own moments of connection. Her process is meditative, intuitive and deeply rooted in prayer and God. Music and nature are the backdrop to her creations.
