A 1950s Floor lamp designed by Mitchell Bobrick For Controlight. Sculptural, featuring a birch base, ceramic cone body, iron legs, and a pivoting pressed fiberglass light diffuser shade. The pivoting shade allows one to direct light to control the warmth of the room, a flat shade allows for a more direct, chair side reading light, where as, an angled shade allows the light to bounce off to warm up the walls of the room. Minimalistic design, and so unique it is easy to see why this lamp is a favorite among collectors of good design.
