A Swan Chairs designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen newly upholstered in a navy blue nubby boucle fabric. This chair was stripped, new foam was added and the fabric was hand stitched, a thoughtful restoration. The swan chair was originally designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the SAS hotel in Copenhagen Denmark. A landmark of Danish Modernism. It is renowned for having no straight lines, relying on organic, curved forms created with innovative, for the time, molded synthetic foam. These chairs would compliment designs from Milo Baughman, Finn Juhl, Hans Wegner, and Edward Wormley.

Condition: Light oxidation and scratching to the aluminum bases. New foam and new hand stitched wool upholstery.
