A deep modern lounge chair designed by Henry P Glass for J.L. Chase Co. for the forecast group. This example with a swooping frame, angled arms and aptly placed button tufting, all floating above angled brass legs. Very comfortable spring seat. Solid wood frame construction. This is built to last generations. This chair would compliment pieces made by Gio Ponti, Edward Wormley, Vladimir Kagan, Robsjohn Gibbings, Harvey Probber and others. Quintessential mid century modern.
Condition:
Legs are original and show some oxidation, and scratches. New Foam and Mohair upholstery.
