All original ESU 270-C storage cabinet a first generation designed and produced in 1951-1952. The fixed legs were known to bend and were quickly scrapped for removable legs in 1953. Designed by Charles Eames for Herman Miller, this cabinet is a survivor, consisting of three walnut drawers and a zinc plated steel frame. Black (left side) and orangish red (back and right) painted masonite panels round out the top over a perforated steel panel accentuated open space below. Few of these are in existence and rarely become available.

Dimensions: 24”w x 16”’D x 32.5”H

Condition: All original. Some light indentions to the top surface and possible burn mark. Oxidation patina to the zinc plated steel. All four original feet are present but rubber is not all there. Bottom drawer runners are split cracked but drawer still functions.
