Custom Rosewood Dining / Center Table Tucker Robbins 15th C./2005
A custom solid rosewood table from the Tucker Robbins studio in Long Island City, New York. The base purportedly reclaimed from a Phillipines monastery built in the 15th to 16th century. As seen in the photos the base is a carved solid rosewood trunk. The age of the wood adds a lot of weight to the base. The top an exotic Brazillian hardwood cut from a single board. It is very rare to find wood this wide especially in an exotic species. would work well with designs from Pierre Jeaneret, Jean Prouve, Evelyn Ackerman and Charlotte Perriand. This piece would work well as a dining table or a center table in an entryway or foyer.
