1960s Paul Evans Studio Loop Coffee Table Fish scale gold gilt

1960s Paul Evans Studio Loop Coffee Table Fish scale gold gilt
A rare Paul Evans loop coffee table circa 1960s. This studio made coffee table consisting of welded iron base highlighted with gold gilt. Two gold gilt fish scale elements highlight and break up the continuous loops. Original thick green glass sits on the surface. A rare form, as most of the loop scale pieces were screens or round coffee tables. A great collectors piece from one of the most highly sought after designers. This table would compliment pieces made by Gio Ponti, Edward Wormley, Vladimir Kagan, Robsjohn Gibbings, Harvey Probber and others. Quintessential mid century modern.
Unsigned. Dorsey Reading has confirmed this is a Paul evans studio piece and correspondence will be provided to buyer.
