Unique Paul McCobb Black Wrought Iron and Maple Floating Shelf, c. 1950s

Unique Paul McCobb Black Wrought Iron and Maple Floating Shelf, c. 1950s
Repurposed from an original Paul McCobb headboard. Paul McCobb designed a solid maple headboard, model 1553, as part of the Planner Group line for Winchendon Furniture. The frame fits a full-size bed and features bookcase shelving backed with slender wrought iron rods. By removing the shelving unit, we’re left with a one of a kind floating wall shelf. If you’re looking to stand out this piece is a perfect way to do so.
Unsigned due to removing headboard where makers mark was.
