Edward Wormley for Dunbar Brown Leather Thebes Stools, 1950s - A Pair

Edward Wormley for Dunbar Brown Leather Thebes Stools, 1950s - A Pair
A pair of solid mahogany and thick suede leather Thebes stools / ottomans designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar. The “x” shape at the base creates a beautiful symmetry representative of Mid Century Modern design, with the legs terminating with a subtle bulbous form. The seat with saddled profile brings a subtle curve to the otherwise boxy shape. These stools would work well with designs from Milo Baughman, Harvey Probber, and George Nakashima.
